    Cyberspace Aware

    If appropriate, we are able to work with the Client and his team through Skype, Instant Messaging, Webcam, Email and Fax. We are also familiar with Moodle and Interactive Whiteboard. Our office computer systems include machines running Unix and Microsoft Windows (XP and Vista).

    Service Contract

    We value and respect your business - and ours. Therefore, it is our custom to work from a Service Contract. Of course, we are happy for appropriate confidentiality, non-disclosure, copyright and non-soliciting clauses to be included in the Contract.

    Pricing

    Colin-Baxter.com does not compete on pricing but on performance and problem-solving. Nevertheless, our pricing remain attractive.

    We always provide full estimates of charges and the Client is immediately advised of costs incurred.

    Time Sheets and Work Reports are submitted to the Client daily.

    Payment is accepted in Pounds Sterling (British Pounds) only, by either electronic transfer to a UK bank or by a cheque (check) drawn on a UK bank account.

    We now accept payment through Paypal, where a copy of the invoice is submitted to the Client electronically.

    Project Experience

    The consulting projects handled by Colin-Baxter.com can often be divided into two types:-

    Task Consulting

    Here we undertake a well-defined task, using specific Skill Sets that are appropriate to our Specialist Areas.

    Process Consulting

    This term is widely used in the consulting world. We use it here simply to mean one or more discussions with the Client that may lead to the submission of a formal proposal.

    The above division is a simplification, but one that some clients find useful. In practice, real projects are generally a mixture of Task and Process consulting.

    Non-Billable Initial Discussion

    We welcome the opportunity of discussing (and solving) technical or scientific problems and issues that are important to you.

    Colin-Baxter.com is operated by Dr Colin Baxter, who also undertakes physics research, and has contributed to leading academic journals in the areas in quantum optics, atomic physics and fundamental problems.
